Tips For Picking Corporate Event Entertainment
Keep in mind that if you are looking for corporate event entertainment make sure that you go with a company that can serve your company and not get entertainment based upon limited pool of resources. There are some great entertainment groups practically in every area of the country that can supply entertainment to your corporate event.
Perhaps one of the first things you should do is specify the kind of entertainment that will work well with your company and not be pigeon holed into a particular type of entertainment that may not reach all of your corporation.
Secondly, it is important to take a consensus of your employees. A simple search of your base market will direct you on what type of entertainment will go over well and catch the attention of the majority. This is an important step in considering the type of corporate event entertainment company you are looking to hire. If you have a majority that can not be easily entertained by the run of the mill comedian, then make sure your entertainment headhunter can get something out of the ordinary.
Thirdly, which of course has already been thought of, plan your budget for such an event. What type of entertainment and just how much of it are you willing to spend to get for your organization. These are significant considerations especially if you have done your research on your employees and realize that nothing but the best will do for their high quality taste.
Last but not least, consider what is the purpose for throwing a corporate event entertainment function. Is it just purely for fun or are you looking to band your company together and improve group relations. This can all make the type of entertainment you choose for the event vary as well. Many high demand entertainers have their own agenda and may not cater if you want a specific theme thrown into the event.
In all aspects of business it pays to do your homework before you outsource and in the area of corporate event entertainment it is just as crucial. Taking the tips to acquire the right type of entertainment your corporation will leave the entertainment function refreshed and focused on whatever your goal is in mind for the event. This can be a multi-faceted event base around entertaining and growing your company in different areas with the right form of delivery.

Corporate Event Entertainment Pricing and Choices
Corporate Event Entertainment Pricing and Choices
There are a lot of choices to make when it comes to corporate event entertainment. Not only do you have to decide on when and where to have the event, but then you have to decide on what type of entertainment and determine who it is in your crowd that you are trying to entertain. Of course if it is a corporate event you are looking for clean entertainment but is this a family event or are you just hosting the employees of your corporation. Either way a significant amount is riding on this event because a flaw would make the corporation look bad.
Plan to spend a little more on your corporate event entertainment then you would say for a wedding or for a friendly get together. As unfortunate as it may sound, the clean entertainment costs a little more. To get a corporate entertainer you need someone with at least 30 minutes to an hour full of material that he can keep the crowd entertained and not offend someone. Think about how hard this would be in a diverse crowd.
You do not necessarily have to go with a comedian, which is sometimes the first type of entertainment that corporate events sponsor. There are other mediums such as jugglers and magicians but even they border on the humorous if they are any good. With the combined talent of juggling and comedy you may be on the verge of a more expensive bill.
Then if you have decided that this corporate event entertainment not only needs to entertain the adults in the room but also you have made it a family event, then there is yet another dimension to the entertainment and possibly the price tag. It would be great to sponsor an event where the entire corporate family as well as the family at home. At this point you may be adding more then a magician or a comedian but someone with his own bag of tricks, so to speak, with a lot of accoutrements to entertain the crowd.
Finding just the right corporate event entertainment can be a bit tricky but set up your guidelines before you approach an outside business to handle the booking of this engagement. Most professional entertainers are booked through an agency and they will have the expertise to guide you in the right area after you have decided on what type of entertaining you plan to do.

Common Questions For Entertainment Centers
If you own a home entertainment center or looking at new entertainment centers to buy, you probably have a few questions. There are a number of different types, sizes, and colors to choose from. If you’re purchasing your very first entertainment center, read through the following questions and answers, and get more familiar with the options you have.
What’s the Average Price Range of Entertainment Centers?
The price for a home entertainment center can range from under $100 to many thousands of dollars. The price will vary greatly based on the size, material, and design of the piece. Entertainment centers can be as simple as a TV stand with shelves to a complete unit that takes up an entire wall. The price will depend on what type of entertainment center you want.
What Materials are Entertainment Centers Made From?
Home entertainment centers are made of all sorts of materials. Often they use different materials to provide adequate function and sleek styling. Common materials include:
# Wood (oak, mahogany, Cedar, etc.)
# Metal
# Glass
# Plastic
# Pressboard
Often these materials are combined to create glass doors on a mahogany shelf unit or plastic wheels on a compact TV stand.
Will Furniture Stores that Sell Home Entertainment Centers Deliver to My Home?
Some do but some don’t. It all depends on the retailers. Entertainment centers can be quite large and require a truck for delivery. This means either you or the retailer needs to have a truck available to transport it from their store to your home. Be sure to ask about home delivery before you buy if you’re going to need some help getting it home.
Do They Sell Preassembled Entertainment Units?
It all depends on the size of the unit. The bigger it is, the more likely it is it won’t come preassembled. Parts of it might come together but the unit as a whole will need to be put together. Smaller units may come preassembled because they are smaller and more compact.
Does a TV Stand Count as a Home Entertainment Center?
The category of “entertainment center” is pretty broad and often includes TV stands and even small wall units. A TV stand that has shelves or drawers is definitely an entertainment center. Think about it; it’s a multifunctional furniture unit that allows for organization and storage of entertainment related items such as TV, movies, DVDs, VCRs, DVD players, etc. So if you’re looking for smaller storage units or shelving, be sure to check the “home entertainment centers” section of your local furniture store or online retailer.
Can I Find Matching Furniture to Go with My Entertainment Center?
In some cases you can. Often times furniture designers will design a complete living room/family room/den furniture set. This can include matching entertainment centers, recliners, couches, and even coffee tables. If you want all your furniture to match, it’s best to find a furniture collect designed to work together.
Do They Sell Home Entertainment Centers Online?
In fact, they do. Many online furniture retailers sell home entertainment centers. In some cases you might be able to find a better price online. However, the one issue with buying an entertainment center online is shipping. If you want a large unit, expect to pay a significant amount to get it shipped to your home.
Can I Make My Own Entertainment Unit?
It is possible to make your own home entertainment unit but it’s only suggested for professional or experienced wood workers or cabinet makers. Depending on the size you want, building your own entertainment center can be quite difficult. You need to plan everything out first, establish measurements, buy the materials, and then put it together. Although it may save you some money in the long run, it could take you months to build it.

How to Choose the Best Birthday Entertainment For Your Child’s Birthday Party
How to Choose the Best Birthday Entertainment For Your Child’s Birthday Party
One surefire way to hold an unforgettable birthday party for your child is to hire professional birthday entertainment. It’s not easy keeping a group of children happy and entertained on your own. By leaving the party entertainment to professional birthday entertainers, you can focus on the logistics of the party all the while ensuring that the event is successful and enjoyable for the children.
Picking a Birthday Entertainer That is Suitable for the Age Group
A party entertainer that is perfect for 1-3 year olds is not going to be appropriate for a party of 9-12 year olds. Base the decision of what kind of birthday entertainment you hire on the age group of the children attending the party. Children between the ages of 1-3 years old need simple entertainment that is easy to digest. Children in this age group have very short attention spans so they can’t focus on long performances of any sort. The perfect party entertainment for this age group would be someone dressed in a Barney suit or other popular character to give out balloons and dance with the children.
Some people mistakenly choose clowns as birthday entertainment at parties for the 1-3 year old age group, realizing it is a big mistake once the clown scares all of the children in attendance. Many children and even some adults are scared of clowns because of their dramatic make-up and bizarre costumes. It is not a good idea to hire clowns as birthday entertainers for parties catering to very young children unless your goal is to make them cry.
Children from ages 4-8 enjoy very interactive birthday entertainment that involves plenty of movement, jokes, and activities. It is easier to hire birthday entertainers for this age group because the children are open to a variety of different entertainment styles. Magicians, jugglers and puppeteers are all appropriate birthday entertainment for this age group. Children in this age group look in awe and amazement when they see a magician performing interesting tricks. On the other hand, younger children are too little to understand what is happening while older children just want to know the secret behind the trick.
A talented juggler can make for an excellent birthday entertainer for the 4-8 year old age group because he can juggle different, colorful items in varying quantities to put on a visually appealing show. A puppeteer is also a great party entertainer for birthdays catering to this age group because he uses colorful puppets that captivate the children’s attention and tells funny jokes that give them a good laugh. Even the adult party guests can stay entertained with a puppeteer by interacting with the puppets and becoming a part of the skit.
When choosing birthday entertainment for children in the 9-12 year old age group, different rules apply. Children of this age try very hard to be “cool” and think that entertainers like puppeteers, jugglers, and magicians are plain corny. In order to appeal to children of this age group, it’s essential to hire birthday entertainers that are in with the latest trends. DJs that are in tune with pop music that children of this age enjoy are a great choice as birthday entertainment. Choose a DJ who has experience interacting with children and knows how to serve simultaneously as an emcee for the party.
In conclusion, choose a birthday entertainer based on the age of your child and his/her friends to find someone who is appropriate. If you take these points into consideration, you’re bound to find a party entertainer who will make your child’s next birthday party memorable and enjoyable for everyone in attendance.

How to Shop For a Used Entertainment Center
In today’s modern world, the entertainment center have become a common sight in our homes. Home audio and video equipment give you the home theater experience, but it’s the enter. center that makes the room. Home entertainment centers give you the flexibility of decorating your room in any style you desire. However, as common as entertainment centers are today, they still can cost you a pretty penny. That’s why it just might be wise to search for a used entertainment center.
How to Find a Reliable Used Entertainment. center?
When shopping for a used entertainment centers, it’s very important to know the numerous kinds of entertainment centers available in the market. Prices of most new models can be very high and beyond the reach of budget-conscious buyers. However, a used entertainment center does come with some possible problems and Issues.
Where to Look
For starters, you can look in the classified ads in the paper or online. You’ll be surprised how many people are getting rid of their used entertainment center. And most aren’t getting rid of it because it’s broke or old. For many, they’re moving out of state or into a smaller apartment where the cost and effort to move their entertainment center doesn’t make it a practical move at all. Thrift stores and garage sales are also great places to search. Although there’s no guarantee the corner garage sale will have the ideal used entertainment center for you, it’s still worth a look.
What to Look for
Surface Damage
Check for any surface damage, scratches, chips, and so forth. You want to make sure that the entertainment center is in decent condition. You also want to remove any tape that may be hiding surface damage. A good inspection before you buy will save you the pain and sorrow of realizing you bought a hunk of junk later.
Structural Integrity
The cabinet should be sturdy and should not wobble when rocked. Check all the drawers, the cabinets, any slide outs and any other components to make sure everything is working and nothing is cracked. Doors should fit well and should not have any visible gaps. They should open easily and should not squeak or rub. Also, be sure to check out all the options that are available for doors in the EC before you purchase one.
Aesthetic Appeal
Don’t get a used EC that is way too big for your place or might look awkward or ‘out of place’ in your living room. Instead, get something which can fit in your room and can easily get in through your front door, thus eliminating scratches or dents in the process. Just because it’s a deal, doesn’t mean it will compliment your decor. Buying a used entertainment center is no different than buying a used car. You want to inspect it front top to bottom, give it a test drive (a.k.a. slide all the drawers out and open all the doors), and then haggle for the best deal possible.

Built in Entertainment Centers – A New Modern Day Look
Have you been looking for the right entertainment center for your home? Maybe you have searched various furniture stores, or have been looking online. I’m sure you have seen many styles and colors, and maybe you have not been able to find one that fits your expectations. Have you ever considered a built in entertainment center? Let me share with you some of the benefits of owning one:
-It will be built to fit in with the structure of your house and will follow the designs and colors you already have. The woodwork will be done to match any other woodwork in your home.
- You won’t have to worry about any of your DVDs or CDs falling behind it. With a traditional entertainment center, you would have to move it every time something falls behind it. With an entertainment center that is built in, it is absolutely impossible for that to happen.
- If you have small children, you won’t have to worry about them climbing on a built in entertainment center and causing it to tip and fall on top of them. There have been cases where small children have had these kinds of accidents.
- In the case of an earthquake, it will not fall over causing your expensive electronics to fall and break.
- With a built in entertainment center, you won’t have to move it to clean behind it. If it is built in, there won’t be any way for the dust to accumulate behind it.
- It will add style and elegance to your decor. It will give your home that “custom built” kind of look and feel.
These are just a few of the benefits of owning a built in entertainment center. There are so many different styles and colors. You will be able to choose the wood grain and color to match your furniture or your cabinetry. The size and the style can be custom built to fit your living room, family room, or den; you could even have one built in the bedroom. You may be concerned about not being able to move the entertainment center in the future if you choose to re-arrange things. I’m sure you have never thought about moving your kitchen cabinets or your stove.
Your entertainment center would become a part of your house, not just another piece of furniture. Of course you want only the best for your home and family. You need to make the right decision as to what will accommodate your needs. Unless you plan on moving in the near future I’m sure you will take into consideration all of the above mentioned benefits of owning a built in entertainment center. I hope that this information will be helpful to you in choosing your entertainment center.

How to Hire Corporate Entertainment
How to Hire Corporate Entertainment
For many people, hiring entertainment for a corporate event can be an overwhelming task. The entertainment you select has to be professional and suited for all audiences. On the other hand, it is easy to get stuck in the corporate rut of doing “the same old thing” year after year.
How important is keeping your existing clients and employees for your organization? Showing appreciation to clients and your staff can boost morale, strengthen business relationships and help your company grow. Having the right entertainment at your event will accomplish that!
So how do you break from the ordinary and book entertainment that is new and engaging for your group? Below are some suggestions to make the hiring process easier for you.
1. Plan Your Event
Plan how would like the evening to go. If you know the exact type of entertainment you are having, then plan the event around that entertainment. Otherwise, plan out time for the different events and make a time-table. If you haven’t decided on the entertainment then be sure to leave some room in your time-table for adjustments. The setup of the room can vary depending on the performer you desire, and the itinerary can change as well.
2. Know Your Budget
Know how much you can spend on entertainment before approaching entertainers to find out about their acts. What you can spend on an entertainer will often dictate the level of entertainment you get. Every event has a budget and you need to stay within it and meet your needs. However, hiring an entertainer based solely on them being the lowest priced can lead to disaster. Put things in a better perspective, you may wish to determine your “per-person” cost budgeted for entertainment or activities. The finest food and beverages will soon be a fading memory to your guests, but high quality entertainment creates an emotional impact and lasting impression. How much fun they had at your event is what creates lasting memories.
3. Be Prepared to Discuss Your Event and Your Budget
Any professional entertainer is going to be asking you questions about your event, such as what type of event you are having, how many guests you expect, if there is a theme to the event, a general timeline of the event, etc. By doing this, they are determining if their act is a good match for your group and function. They may even be able to present ideas to enhance your event that you hadn’t thought of yet! Ask the entertainer if they offer any special packages. Your entertainer may have a package that will make your event extra special. By discussing your budget with them, you are also finding out if they are within your price range. If so you can move on with the process; if not, you are saving everyone time and should call the next entertainer on your list.
4. Request References and Promotional Material
If after your initial contact with the entertainer you feel comfortable with them and you both agree that there is a possibility that they will be a good match for your group, ask them for references and promotional materials. You will find that most entertainers have websites that will contain most of the promotional materials, if not all of it. If an entertainer cannot provide you with references then DO NOT engage this performer.
5. Call References and Review the Promotional Material
After calling references and reviewing the promotional material, you may have more questions for the entertainer. Give them a call and get your concerns addressed and all questions answered.
Make sure that your entertainer is a corporate entertainment specialist that knows the needs and expectations of the corporate environment. A comedian that regularly performs “R” rated shows in comedy clubs or a magician that typically works at child birthday parties would probably not make a suitable choices for a typical corporate conference!
6. Ask About a Guarantee
Want some real peace of mind when trying to plan your corporate event? If an entertainer presents a quality presentation and has enough experience, they should be willing to guarantee their services. As them what they guarantee!
7. Request a Contract
The entertainer should provide you with a contract outlining your agreement along with the date, location of your event as well as any other arrangements agreed upon. Unless you are booking a celebrity performer, the agreement will probably be no more than a couple of pages in length.
The contract should clearly state what you will be required to provide for the event, such as a sound system or lighting requirements, and what the entertainer will be providing. In some cases some of this information will come in the form of a Technical Rider which is sent with the contract. The agreement should also cover deposits (typically 50% of the total fee) travel fees, per diem charges, meals and transportation. All of this should have been discussed in the initial phone call, and there should not be any surprises for you on the agreement. Most entertainers will require the contract signed and returned with the deposit within a certain timeframe of sending it.
8. Communicate
Your entertainer is there to enhance your event. Keeping him or her informed of any changes in your event helps them to bring you the show you would like, especially if they are doing any customized material for you. If they are doing a customized performance for you event it is essential to get the needed information to them as early as possible.
A professional entertainer will also want to make sure they are there early to setup and do sound checks before the scheduled show time.
9. Promote the Event
Get people excited about the event by promoting the great entertainment you have booked for them! Your entertainer should be able to make this easy for you by providing you with articles, press releases, or photos that you can use in your event literature to build anticipation. Some entertainers are willing to provide “teaser” performances in order to get people excited to come to your event!
10. Sit Back, Relax, and Enjoy the Show!
By using these simple steps, you should feel confident that the entertainer you have chosen is a professional. You’ve worked hard up until this point, so sit back and enjoy what you’ve put together!

Entertainment in Panama
Entertainment in Panama
Entertainment in Panama is top notch, and you can find it around every corner, down every alley, and at the bottom of every pint. For a good time, you’ve come to the right country. Weather you are being scraped from the bottom of a Chivas Bus at 4am, screaming madly for one of the 12 teams in the country’s professional soccer league, or stumbling into El Café Azul at sunrise; entertainment in Panama is in no short supply and can be had at a bargain. This country is quickly becoming a hot destination for travel, kind of like the next Costa Rica and you can find a ton of options for going out and enjoying yourself.
Panama is very rich in culture, and finding entertainment in Panama is never very difficult. Because of the influence of the United States in the last century, many locals speak good English and therefore exhibits, menus, and performances are often in English. Over 10 museums are open in the Panama City area, most of which are centered in the Casco Viejo area. There is absolutely no shortage of bars, restaurants or great live music venues. On any given weekend, at least four or five locations will be featuring a live band, so your search for entertainment in Panama shouldn’t be too difficult, especially if you are into live music. Panama City is by far the most cosmopolitan city in the Central America, and in fact for entertainment and nightlife even rivals Rio or Cancun. Wander down Calle Uruguay and you will be lured into any number of places, or stumble home through El Cangrejo and the same will hold true. Regardless of the hour, this city alive, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
If you are looking for entertainment in Panama City, and want to go check out the “strip” of bars, your best bet would be to head to the Calle Uruguay area. Home to such famous bars as the Londoner, People, Sahara, and Habibi’s, this district truly has something for everyone. If you are just looking to grab a drink and hang out on the patio, make sure to check out Habibi’s. If you are trying to rage all night, then do not miss Mystic or Moods. Unplugged is a good spot for live music, or if you time it right then check out S6is for an album release party-very plush. Starlight is a great spot for Karaoke, and their English/Spanish song book has something for everyone. Other hot spots include Moods, TGIF, and El Bambero.
Amador Causeway is another great area for nightlife and entertainment in Panama. Perhaps the most famous strip in the country, Amador causeway has a lot to offer. Play is more of a club environment, and Paya more of a down tempo and chill lounge. Two great spots not to be missed on the causeway. And if you are staying in the El Cangrejo area, then make a pit stop in La Taverna 21 for a down home Spanish style area, or La Terraza-the original gringo bar.
Entertainment in Panama is not limited to bars, however. The city’s rich culture brings many famous musical acts to town, including Kenny G, Sean Paul, Don Omar, and many others. The Figali center, Teatro Nacional, Atlapa Convention Center, and Anayansi are some of the many great venues for events. Live theatrical performances are another way one can find entertainment in panama, including The Theatre Guild of Ancon and Teatro La Quadra. Plays and performances are often presented in English, so if you don’t speak much Spanish then you still wont have any problem.
Kent Preiss-Davis has been dreaming about Panama since he was a boy, and finally made it out to the beautiful country which he now calls home. He has taken on the arduous task of reviewing every bar, club, and brothel in Panama City, Panama. A weekend wasted is never a wasted weekend. Busca Panama

Children’s Entertainment – Who Needs Entertaining?
What price to entertain our children? How much entertainment do our children need? At the risk of sounding like an old fuddy duddy, how were children entertained a 100 years ago when there were no television or computer games? Very simply I would imagine.
Imagination – The key to all adventures. Babies and small children will play with simple things like empty boxes, clothes pegs, pots and pans. To them they are all sorts of things because they use their imagination. They don’t expect to be entertained with expensive toys or computer systems they just need to touch and feel things to have fun. Simple songs with actions will be remembered well beyond childhood years and hopefully be passed on to the next generation of children needing to be entertained. Dressing up, making things out of cardboard and paper, the possibilities are endless all that is needed is a little imagination.
Birthday parties used to be simple affairs, nowadays our children expect to have an entertainer or bouncy castle at their parties. Whatever happened to pass the parcel or blind mans buff? The more entertainment we provide for our children the more they seem to need.
Today’s society seems to dictate the trend, maybe we should all try and steer our children gently back to simple entertainment. Switch the ‘telly’ off, dig out the board games, if you can survive the moans and groans of your children then you might just be able to persuade them that entertainment needn’t be just by means of televisions and computers. You can have fun together. You can talk and communicate and entertain each other. Go out to the theatre, see a pantomime, all good fun ways of entertaining the whole family. Memories are precious, if you have a great family night out and have fun together, you will keep the memory for a long time.
Small children used to be given colouring books and pencils, now the trend is to plonk them down in front of the television and let it entertain them. Who knows what information they are subjected to. Children will learn to be inactive, not a healthy pastime.
How often have you heard the words “I am bored”. Does this mean the child needs to be entertained? Certainly not, if you were to suggest that you can find something for them to do you will find that your child miraculously finds something to entertain them.
Something as simple as playing with a ball can be healthy, amusing, fun, and the more people taking part in the game the merrier. Which one of us hasn’t been involved in a football game or game of cricket or rounders, which has grown into an incredible amount of people on both sides. Who cared who won? Playing and entertaining you was all that mattered and it was healthy!
Interaction with others will stand our children in good stead by teaching them social skills and encouraging them to lead a healthy active lifestyle. So encourage your children to go on out there, go with them, entertain, be entertained and have fun !!!
